Design a new brand architecture and create a campaign for the awareness of the Secrecy Bill specifically for students under the organisation South African National Editors Forum. The campaign should create a movement against the controversial Bill, educate students and ultimately stop the bill becoming an Act. Sanef’s chief aim is to be a representative and credible voice of journalism in society, to facilitate diversity in newsrooms and reporting, enable a culture of real debate and promote free and independent journalism of the highest standard. In addition, Sanef stands in defence of media freedom. They campaign for the elimination of legislation and commercial pressures that restrict media ( the Protection of Information Bill) while also supporting the establishment of editors’ forums in the region and the continent. By creating a more appealing, professional and current rebrand of Sanef students, journalists and media individuals will more likely join the forum. A campaign will enable a movement against the secrecy bill to take effect amongst student.
